Physical Description | The word “shapely” or “buxom” would definitely apply to the mature woman. The lack of facial tattoos is notable as a Togruta, Ashahna having had them removed when she abandoned the Jedi Order in order to prevent anyone potentially identifying her. Her grey eyes were also changed from her original jade green. She is often noted as wearing rather fashionable but comfortable garb, predominantly giving her the impression of a more upper class sort of businesswoman. Though it isn’t unknown for her to use her physical assets to her advantage if the opportunity presents it and thus adapt her wardrobe to suit. She is often seen with a handmade set of jewels upon her montrals (the horns) and neck as well as a belt around her waist with a notable buckle that she curiously wears on her side often festooned with whatever ornaments take her fancy. |
Personality & Traits
General Overview | Considered charming by most, Ashahna would hardly be considered to have once been a Sentinel of the Jedi Order. If anything to many whom have crossed her paths the Togruta herself gives the impression of a mostly irrevent and laid back woman whom is more harmless than not. Often stating she just a humble merchantlady, often flirtatiously offering her name. Perhaps leaning somewhat towards the natural Togruta sense of unity, she is a skilled negotiator and often makes good use of her skills in her career as a trader (as well as a smuggler for those times when she was attempting to circumvent Republic restrictions). She’s also notable something of a hedonist at heart, seeming attempting to enjoy her life wherever she could amidst the growing darkness of the galaxy. |
|
Strengths & Weaknesses | Favouring cunning and strategic thinking, Ashahna could be said to be more of a thinker than a duelist. Her command of Makashi making her a dangerous opponent to be fair. She considers herself adaptable and open-minded, and thus it isn’t at all unlikely that given the rare times she exposed herself by using her blade, it would often be accompanied by the DC-17 that she is often seen utilising more commonly. How she attained said DC-17 blaster she never really said. She can also be obstinate and difficult at times when she believes she had the high ground. |
|
Force Powers | Unknown, though general telekinesis and mind altering abilities such as the Jedi Mind Trick are to be considered within her ability. | |
Equipment | Lightsaber Perhaps one of the more unconventional items on her person, Ashahna’s weapon of choice would be a curved lightsabre utilising a green blade. The latest one worn as a sort of unassuming belt piece with its design taking clear inspiration from the lightsabre of the notorious former Jedi Master Dooku. Her preferred style being a curious combination of the Form II Makashi though heavily modified to incorporate elements of the Form III Soresu. Both styles considered mutually exclusive to one another both by method and by era. Starship Perhaps hinting at her Jedi roots, Ashahna has been known to operate a variety of vessels, often of a Corellian make due to her view that they are “of a superior grade”. Her most recent one, the YT-2400 light freighter that she calls the Solar Streak has been registered to her for the last six months, purchased with funds from an insurance claim on Taris from a YT-1400 that had been damaged in a docking accident on the world. Another ship’s pilot reportedly having lost control of their vessel and collided with the ship, effectively crushing the engine block yet preventing a breach of the reactor. |

Additional Notes | It is not general knowledge that she is a Jedi, thus none would be aware of this. |
History | Azona Sa, Jedi Sentinel Born nameless on the planet of Shili in the Ehosiq sector in 77 BBY, the child that would eventually grow to become Ashahna was given the name Azona Sa and relocated to the Jedi template to raised by the order. Little is known of this time, but Republic records note that she completed her trials enough to become the Padawan of a Togruta Jedi Knight by the name of Vadan Rys in BBY 52 until about 40 BBY where she attained the rank of Jedi Knight following a rather difficult mission which had seen her and Rys attempt to halt a civil uprising on the outrim world of Taris. The details of the mission itself remain vague, but it was known that Jedi Knight Rys had suffered a severe injury (the loss of a limb) and that the young Padawan had forcefully held the ruling council and members of the leading rebel factions hostage in order to enforce negotations. Though this is considered supposition. In an ironic turn of fate, the newly minted Jedi Knight would go against her Master’s path of Consular, instead opting for the path of the Sentinel but also her experienced as a Knight in addition to her experiences as a Padawan had begun to demonstrate to her the dogmatic and inflexible nature of the Order. Her time as a Knight was sent in the Outer and Mid Rims where she was often sent to chase up rumours of various items infused with the dark side. A time that the former knight would hint as being “the Order’s errand girl in maintaining their dogma”. Though often her missions would lead her into dealings with much of the underworld, allowing her a proverbial front-row seat to the degradation of the Republic’s rule and degeneracy that was allowed throughout much of the worlds that technically fell under Republic rule. Often this would see her engaging in several “personal” missions which often were followed by reports of certain notable figures disappearing or having been found murdered. Republic authorities often attributing this to the violence between factions on these worlds. Other such times word would often come with news of various small criminal factions being overturned by newly formed militia. Though any presence of Azona was never confirmed at these locations, let alone involvement. The quietly chafing Knight herself would eventually take the notice of a man whose name would become infamous in recent times. The Jedi Master Dooku to whom the young Azona would have considered a friend, though in more recent times would have said his greatest folly was his political idealism. It would be in the year of 44 BBY where Azona would be one of the 20 Jedi haphazardly thrown together for the mission to Galidraan. By this time the now 33 year old Azona had found herself drastically standing apart from the Jedi Order, having spent the majority of time in the Outer Rim, to the point where she often felt the detachment between the Council and even many of her fellow Jedi. Galidraan would be considered a unique experience, to any whom knew of Azona’s background noting her calling it her own “personal frozen hell”. The prowess of the Mandalorians in killing Jedi and the scale of the slaughter itself as well as the chaos that ensued all serving to break any remaining faith in the system of the Order. Thus, one venerable day during penultimate clash between the True Mandalorian and Jedi forces, Azona Sa was witnessed in hand to hand combat with an unknown Mandalorian upon a broken catwalk before being struck by a projectile from a slug thrower in the chest by a nearby sniper. The struck Togruta taking the Mandalorian she was engaged with her. Records of Azona Sa ceased there, for the catwalk itself came off the edge of a high cliff at the bottom of which was only discovered but shreads of robes, two splatters of blood with fragments of Beskar armour and pieces of the head dress that Azona Sa had worn as well as the broken hilt of her lightsabre. At this point, Azona Sa was considered killed in action with no trace of her body found. But the blood found at the scene was that the of Togruta. NOTE: It should also be noted that Jedi records would indicate that the kyber crystal was not among the refuse found. Ashahna Dalmai In reality, the Togruta herself would fall onto a high ledge with the Mandolarian, using him as a means of breaking her fall. The impact had unseated the helmet of her opponent enough to remove it, the mostly cripple Mandalorian quickly ended by the Togruta as she used his own held to beat in the head of the Mandalorian. With her opponent ended in an albeit bloody way and discovering the projectil had luckily passed through her, the Togruta raided the Mandalorian’s armour for any medical supplies, food and weapons she could find and disposed of the Mandalorian by kicking the body off of the ledge into the depths below. This quickly followed by her lightsabre that she disassembled and tossed soon after along with her head dress, keeping only the kyber crystal on her person as well as a few pieces of the Mandalorian’s beskar armour. The ledge she had found offering shelter in the form of a small cave where she used what she could to patch herself up. Falling and out of consciousness in the ensuing days and broken of any desire to return to the ranks of the Jedi force (whom by the time she managed to emerge from the caves had all but vacated Galidraan) the Togruta was found nearly dead of exposure by a group of townsfolk. Taken in and nursed back to health, the Togruta opted to make her way to the Outer Rim and look up some of her old contacts. Selling off the pieces of Beskar she had managed to carry she secured enough for passage to Kestos Minor, a place where she had assisted the locals in the past. It would on this trip that she took on the name of Ashahna Dalmai, the first name being the one she had learned being the family name of her birth mother and the latter being the name of the province where she was discovered. And thus for the next twenty five years she would become a ghost, attempting to continue her previous work in attempting some good in the galaxy while building up a business as a humble trader (and somewhat modest smuggler) along the Outer Rim. With the coming of the Clone Wars this often meant roles where she’d smuggle food and people between the two warring factions. The fact that the Order now served at the head of the new Grand Army of the Republic naturally doing little to engender any desire to return to the fold, if anything the fact that Jedi and in particular her old acquiatance Dooku fought on opposing sides demonstrated only that she was right for leaving the order itself. A fact that she was reminded by each time she came face to face with one of the new “Jedi Generals”, a concept she roundly considered the machinations of some death-stick-lit moron. |
