"Sorry, Commander… I, I wish it didn't have to be this way…"

Satara's Lekku twitched, the twin tails unconsciously hugging around her shoulders as she felt the Commando begin to pull the trigger. Closing her eyes, Satara let out a breath, making peace with becoming one with the force. Her skin pimpled as time seemed to slow down as she heard the slight crackling whirr of the rifle's pre-fire chamber; Satara could practically smell the ozone being produced, the shot... it... missed...

Violet eyes snapping open, the world returning to sharp focus as she heard a grunt from above her. Buzz staggered a large dent on the side of his helmet a Talz club lying in the snow next to him. A sharp cry, her own filled the air around the pair the clone grabbing his head in pain, blaster falling from his grip. Satara reacted on instinct, her cyan-blue saber coming to life with a familiar snap-hiss, more shots deflecting off into the distance as the blade twirled around her. Feeling the smooth, curved hilt in her hand the Twi'lek Jedi stretched out, sending Buzz flying as she whirled around, sending a flurry of shots back towards Drifter's position.

Through the force, she felt the first shots whiz past the Clone, the last two finding their mark, burrowing into Drifter's back as he tried to dive for cover. Satara again felt her chest tighten, the Clone's lifeforce leaving his body... she had no time to process, to even begin to grieve. An agonized, rage-fueled cry drew the duelist's attention, Boar turning his Z-6 rotary cannon on her. Attempting to block the incoming fire, Satara was quickly finding herself overwhelmed, her own cries filling the air as several of the bolts found their mark, the armorweave of her robes saving her arm and probably her life. Kiff, it burned though, like fire engulfed her as she channeled the force into her speed, ducking behind an outcropping of rock to avoid another barrage of fire. Even with her force enhanced speed, Satara never would have made it if Kuruk hasn't charged into the fray once more, taking the Clone to the ground and ripping the cannon from his grip.

Nearly dropping her saber in agony as she slumped against the hard rock, holding her good hand up to the wound Satara attempted to heal herself, channeling the force directly to regenerate the flesh and nerves. Stopping suddenly, her saber once more came up at the last second, sparks flying as she caught the downward strike of Sergeant Gri'kii's cortosis lined Ryyk blade. Her arm healed enough to be a beacon of pure pain, Satara kicked out, catching the Commando in the middle, staggering him back several feet. Pushing off the rock, Satara sailed through the air, her own saber held high as she returned the earlier strike, slashing downward at the Clone, battle cry leaving her lips as she felt the first impact of her blade against his own.

Her first strike met and parried, the Twi'lek continued to press her attack, disengaging and again bringing her saber up and then back down, this time across the angle of his guard again and again. Three quick strikes in rapid succession had the Clone reeling, his own martial skills good, but he'd also never fought a Jedi before. Attempting to block her attack again, Gri'kii took a hard slash at her abdomen, his blade separating the material of her heavy jacket. Pressing his attack, the Clone used pure brute force to push Satara back the woman now on the defensive but easily pushing aside his overpowered strikes. Backing up several paces, she let the Clone come, quickly parrying his strikes, one after another, after another; left, right, left, left, right!

Sarks flew from their flash of blades, Satara spun away, shoto was quickly in hand breaking the Clone's momentum, Gri'kii paused needing to process the new dynamic. The Twi'lek had her opening, her saber spinning in hand, she brought it up, the blade separating his wrist, the Ryyk dropping to the snow... Gri'kii staggered back, Satara's twin blades crossing and slashing across his chest, striking the man down.

For a moment all she could hear was the gentle serene hum of her twin blue blades, Satara's eyes closed, the woman tried to focus on that rhythm. But she couldn't, it had been too much, the Twi'lek fell to her knees over the body of her former comrade. She could still feel the echoes of his shock when she felled him... but worst of all she could still feel the lives of the Jedi that had been lost just moments before. Everything she had no time to process, to feel came rushing in, Satara's fist impacted Gri'kii's armored chest once and then again as she let out a wail of pain; an exclamation into the void that no one but Kuruk was around to hear.
