Mission: Episode 1 - All Roads Lead to Nowhere
Location: Orto Plutonia
Timeline: Following: Better to Rise Up (3/3)

Satara had never really studied the Clones, didn't have a feel for what made them... them. She'd spent so little time with them throughout the War until her partnership with the Commandos she'd only ran into the occasional Pilot or Security Detachment. They never gave her the sense that they would betray the Jedi. They always seemed loyal to the Republic and the Jedi, especially the Commandos, Buzz himself had saved her life more than once... and he... he held a blaster to her head. What had made him do it... and the others? That led to even more questions, she'd heard rumors of a clone here and there who defected or refused to fight, but trying to murder a Jedi? It was all too much, she needed to focus, figure out her next move! She... she needed to get ahold of herself.

Looking around the battlefield, the blaster marks scoring the white snow, bodies fallen... Satara looked away, closing her eyes, she took a deep breath clearing her mind and centering herself in the moment. Letting the cool wind of Orto Plutonia's frozen plateau whip around her...

There is no emotion, there is peace.
There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.
There is no passion, there is serenity.
There is no chaos, there is harmony.
There is no death, there is...

Turning her head Satara felt a tremble in the force, a light... life... Satara's gaze fell on Buzz his body lying in the snow where Kuruk had left him. Kneeling down over the Clone's body, Satara pressed her hand to his chest plate, closing her eyes as she reached out through the force. He was barely alive, his injuries severe the essence of the Force leaving him quickly. On instinct, Satara closed her eyes and began to heal him drawing power from the light, rejuvenating the fallen Clone's body. As she connected with his force signature Satara's eyes shot open, the young Twi'lek practically jumped backward scrambling through the snow until she was a good two meters away. Her chest rising and falling she stared at the body... What the hell am I doing? Was she really about to heal Buzz? Was she really going to bring back the Clone who tried to kill her?

Letting out a little yelp as a large weight settled on her shoulder, she settled quickly, recognizing Kuruk's familiar presence. Giving her another heavy pat on the shoulder Kuruk stood protectively over Satara, his newly acquired heavy rotary cannon at the ready. Letting out a grunt, a quick series of buzzes and more guttural reverberations sounded from the Talz.

"No... I don't know." Satara replied, easily understanding Talzzi after all this time together. "The teachings of the order tell me I can't let him die. But I also can't forget that he tried to kill us, they all did."

Kuruk huffed, another series of reverberations hit her ears.

"You're right... but I... I should help him. I can't just let him die here in the snow."

Another huff and a sharp buzz.

"No! I will not kill him." Satara said with a glare as she got up, walking back over to Buzz, returning her hands to his chest. Closing her eyes once more Satara continued with her healing feeling once more at balance with herself.

There is no death, there is the Force.

The moments seemed to stretch on as she and the force guided the other to her purpose. In her deepest moments of concentration, she could almost feel the physical wounds Buzz sustained knitting together. Straining to concentrate Satara could feel herself weakening, between the battle, her own injuries, and lack of healing prowess this was taking all she had. Breaking out in a cold sweat Satsra let out a cry, nearly collapsing over the Clone, his body still barely moving in the snow.

Pushing herself up Satara watched, Buzz's lack of movement making her lose hope. "Kiffing hell WAKE UP!" She screamed, frustration quickly took over as she slammed a fist down on his armored chest plate; The Clone's back bowed, a sharp intake of breath echoing through his vocoder. Satara looked at the purple and green painted helmet, searching the block pools for the Clone she once knew. Although still weak she could tell Buzz was staring back, time slowing.

"Commander...? Wha...."

He collapsed, slumping back into the snow, his chest at least rising and falling in a more regular rhythm. Satara anxiously waited another moment, hoping he would come back around, but Buzz was clearly unconscious. Slumping a bit herself, the Twi'lek noticing the cold now as her Lekku wrapped around her shoulders and neck.

"Kuru, c'mon we have to get him back to the ship," Satara said standing shakily, earning her a barrage of angry and frustrated grunts and buzz's from her Talz companion.

"Yes, we are! I'm not going to leave him here to freeze in the snow."

Kuruk, grunted in exasperation slinging his cannon across his large furred back to pick up the Clone. Cradling the man in his arms the part trudged across the ice shelf back the way they'd come. Satara took one last look over the battlefield, feeling as if she should have given the fallen Clones a burial. But they couldn't wait, they'd lingered too long, who knew if there was someone else out there looking to find them.

Nawar'aven
Charger C70

Satara practically burst through the hatch into the warmth of the Nawar'aven. Immediately taking her Lekku in hand she began rubbing the sensitive tails trying to bring some feeling back into her numb chin. "Kuruk get Buzz to the Medical Bay... and make sure he's secured. I'll start take-off preparations. Grunting the affirmative Kuruk continued down the deck while Satara jogged off toward the cockpit, her hand stretching out to activate the droid backup systems.

"Naga! We need to get out of here, prep the ship for takeoff." Satara called to her trusty R6 Astro Droid.

"Wah-wah. Wrry-wrry-nahwikoo!"

"Yes I know the others aren't back... just... just prep the ship, I'll explain everything once we're safe."

Wrrk-wrrk. Weeeeeoop!

"Yes, I promise now go!" Satara said with an aggravated huff as she sat down behind the controls. Grasping the controls Satara took a couple of deep breaths, the adrenaline of the moment calming for a moment. Still, there were so many questions... once they were safe she would try to contact the Jedi. But first, she would get Kuruk to safety, back to his people he shouldn't be in danger like this. Afterward, she would find search for the Jedi... she had to know if... if any were left.

R4 let out a series of beeps and whistles as the engines roared to life, the deck vibrating below her feet as she pulled back on the stick feeling the resistance as Nawar'aven lifted off.
